Course of Voice Education ti singing

The course will take place the first Monday of February and the first Monday of August. For further information and prices, please contact the office.

The courses are suitable for professional or beginner singers that despite having previous experience are considering to study in depth the subject using a natural and correct setting of the voice.

The courses ore held by the lyric singer and vocal consultant Maria Rosaria Monti and the piano player Michela Botteghi. The course will be focused on the study of the opera and the already mentioned genres above.

The singers who is going to face this study can choose one of the following programmes:

COURSE 1: Physiology and practice for a correct use of the vocal chords and breathing technique. Acquisition of the three vocal register, coordinating the muscular process, tensor included, in the way to achieve a correct setting of the acoustic register

COURSE 2: Preparation for opera, holy, gospel and spiritual, coordinated by the lyric singer together with the piano player.

N.B. Pop and jazz musical bases must be given by the singers themselves.

The programme includes:

- 20 Italian language and culture lessons per week

- 10 lessons of voice education to singing

- 10 lessons of voice education to singing with piano player

- Didactic material

- Diplomas

- Final concert

REGISTRATION

To accept the registration you are asked to send three tracks at least on mini disk/cd/tape, to be joined with the application form.

FINAL CONCERT

Will be admitted to the final concert the student who will have attended minimum 10 hours of voice education to singing and 10 hours of voice education to singing accompanied by the piano player, as soloists or choir singers, according to its own skills.

The concert will be performed in Santarcangelo di Romagna, a pleasant town in the countryside. Santarcangelo is the home town of the famous poet and writer Tonino Guerra and it is the place where every years takes place one of the most important international events: “The festival of the theatres”.

The site of the exhibition is a beautiful chapel dated 16th century that nowadays has been transformed in a concert hall. It is said that every singer which had performed in there is being kissed by the chance and since then on he could start his own carrier.

More than 1200 singers among tenors, baritones and sopranos have been performed here and for some of them the dream has become true; such as for the soprano Fiamma Izzo d’Amico, the tenor Mario Malagnini and the baritone Roberto Servile.

Evening dress is required for the performance.
