We did 2 weeks on the standard program at Tiberius the summer before our Erasmus exchange in Italy, and we learned so much! We had been studying some simple grammar and vocabulary the months before, but we had never really spoken in italian. After the two weeks we felt much more confident in talking and can now talk to locals at stores and restaurant about everyday life. The classes were relativly small (5-8 people) which allowed for lots individual supervision. The teachers were very skilled and competent! The school was super helpfull in general and outside classes there were some great guided tours in city and at museums. Anche gli insegnanti e le altre persone della scuola, con cui magari non si hanno lezioni, ti salutano, parlano con te e ti fanno sentire che sei benvenuto. Mi sono piaciute moltissimo anche le attività organizzate dalla scuola. Non solo ho imparato tante cose interessanti su Rimini, sui suoi monumenti e sulla sua storia, ma ho anche avuto la possibilità di praticare l’italiano in un ambiente rilassato e piacevole. L’atmosfera è serena, spontanea e perfetta per imparare la lingua. Vorrei ringraziare in modo speciale Giulio, che ha accompagnato me e i miei compagni di classe durante queste due settimane. I had the privilege of learning Italian for two weeks (between April and May 2026) as a student at the Tiberius school. I can only speak highly of my time in Rimini. My very positive impressions and opinions relate to two most important things related to studying at the school and my stay in Rimini: 1. Organizational matters: Monica, the school's head, very competently and efficiently manages the admission process and then assigns students to the appropriate group based on their Italian language level. She also selects accommodations with exceptional accuracy and in accordance with requests. Contact before arrival at the school is practically flawless. All issues related to the school and accommodation are promptly clarified and arranged – an absolutely unique experience, as you can arrive in Timini without the stress of having to finalize any arrangements. Costs, schedules, and plans are clearly communicated. Before classes begin, a test is administered to determine assignment to the appropriate group. That's how I ended up in a group that wasn't below my Italian level (I would have been bored then) nor was it very advanced (I wouldn't have benefited much then). I'm also very grateful for the accommodation offer, which I accepted: I had the pleasure of staying in a private room with a bathroom with an extremely pleasant, elegant, educated, exceptionally understanding, and friendly resident of Rimini, and the school was just a short walk away in a quiet neighborhood. It's also significant that I had the opportunity to easily park my car in a quiet part of town. Additionally, I greatly appreciate the after-class activities, especially trips to important local sites. 2. Pedagogical Issues: The classes were divided into two sections: grammar and conversation. I found this division very apt – the theoretical knowledge acquired can be immediately applied in conversations. I was fortunate to have Giulio teach both types of classes. I must admit that I benefited greatly from his classes. He explained the grammar clearly and understandably, I'd say effectively. Then the best part came during the conversation: we were able to not only practice our newly learned grammar, but also discuss the topics that interested us most: Italian culture, sports, politics, history.
